Woman convicted in connection with the death of a man in Falkirk in June 2022
A 23-year-old woman has been convicted in connection with the death of a man at a property in Falkirk that happened in June 2022.
Dionne Christie was found guilty of culpable homicide on Monday, 17 March, 2025, at the High Court in Stirling and will be sentenced on a later date.
Officers were called to a flat in Wright Street on 26 June, 2022, following a report of a disturbance. Jevin Haig, aged 21, was found with fatal injuries and extensive enquiries were carried out in relation to his death.
On 8 June, 2023, Dionne Christie was arrested and charged in connection with the death and appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court the following day.
Detective Inspector Scott Roxburgh, of Police Scotland’s Major investigation Team, said: “We welcome the verdict and hope that it brings some kind of closure for Jevin’s family and friends.
