Officers have arrested three males following an investigation into antisocial behaviour in Inverurie
Three teenagers have been arrested following an investigation into antisocial behaviour in the Inverurie area.
Police received reports of youths on electric motorbikes being ridden illegally in the Kellands Park, Ury Riverside Park and Ospreys, as well as other areas of Inverurie, between 19 December 2024 and 21 February 2025.
On Friday, 7 March, 2025, three males, aged 16, 18 and 19 were arrested and charged in connection with multiple road traffic offences. The males were released and are subject of reports to the Procurator Fiscal.
An electric motorbike was also seized in the operation.
Constable Zevenster said: “Anyone found riding an unregistered, illegal electric motorbike can have it seized by officers and removed to a contractor’s yard, with a significant cost to them. Additionally, their association with antisocial behaviour can pose a serious safety risk to members of our community and this behaviour will not be tolerated.”
Anyone with information regarding the illegal use of these types of bikes is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101.
