Police continue to appeal for information following fatal crash on A90
Road policing officers are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal crash on the A90 near Laurencekirk.
The incident happened around 10.20am on Wednesday, 12 February, 2025, and involved a silver Mercedes Vito and a grey Mercedes HGV.
Emergency services attended and the passenger of the van, a 62-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been named as Neil Humphreys from Warwickshire.
The driver of the van, a 43-year-old man and the driver of the lorry, a 52-year-old man, were both taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for around 12 hours while investigations were carried out.
Road Policing Sergeant Dave Cooper said: "Our thoughts are very much with Mr Humphreys' family, who have asked for their privacy to be respected during this incredibly difficult time.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash, and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet come forward.
"I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time with a dash-cam to check their footage and share anything that could assist our investigation."
