Man sentenced to nine years for sexual offences in Aberdeen
A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to nine years for sexual offences committed in Aberdeen.
Buruhana Jabang was sentenced at the High Court in Aberdeen on Wednesday, 12 March, 2025, after being convicted of the serious sexual assault of a woman in the Mastrick area of the city in August 2021.
He was previously found guilty at the same court on Wednesday, 12 February, 2025.
Detective Sergeant Krystina Porter said: “Jabang’s actions were despicable, and he will now face the consequences of his crimes in jail.
“We hope this sentencing provides some measure of closure for the woman involved.
