Man named following fatal crash near Brechin
Road policing officers are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal road crash on the A90 at Brechin, Angus.
Around 2.45pm on Friday, 14 March, 2025, police received a report of a crash on the southbound carriageway Aberdeen to Dundee Road between an HGV lorry and a van.
Emergency services attended and the 76-year-old male driver of the van was taken to hospital where he died on Thursday, 20 March, 2025.
He can now be named as George Reid, of Dundee. His family are aware.
The driver of the HGV did not require medical treatment.
Constable Liam Pattie said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of George Reid at this difficult time.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would again appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information. If you have dash-cam equipment, please check it for any footage which could assist our ongoing investigation."
