Man named following fatal crash in South Ayrshire
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal one-vehicle crash in South Ayrshire.
The incident happened around 4.55pm on Friday, 21 March, on the B741 southwest of Hamilton Bridge, Crosshill, and involved a KTM 1290 Superduke R20 motorbike.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been named as 59-year-old Brian McGill from Dailly.
The road was closed and re-opened around 12.15am on Saturday, 22 March.
Sergeant Nick Twigg said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr McGill, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw the motorbike in the area prior to the crash or witnessed the crash itself to contact us. Additionally, if you have any dash-cam or helmet camera footage that may assist with our investigation, please get in touch.”
