Fatal road crash on the A68 at Earlston
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A68 at Earlston in the Scottish Borders.
The incident happened around 12.20pm on Wednesday, 19 March, and involved a red and cream Moto Guzzi motorbike, a silver Ford Eco-sport, and a white DAF lorry.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike, a 70-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
The road was closed and re-opened around 5.30pm.
Sergeant Grant Hastie said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy at this time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who has not already spoken to officers and who can assist to get in touch.”
