Appeal for information following serious assault in Carnis Eskan Wynd, Helensburgh
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Helensburgh.
Around 6.50pm on Sunday, 2 March, 2025, we were called to a report of an injured man on Camis Eskan Wynd. The 51-year-old was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Following enquiries, the man is believed to have been attacked by another man with a bladed weapon in the Cardross Road area shortly beforehand.
The suspect is described as white, mid 20s, around 6ft tall and of slim build. He may have been travelling in a small dark coloured SUV type vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Vicky Shanley at Clydebank CID, said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack on the victim and it’s vital we trace the person responsible.
“I’d ask for anyone who saw what happened, has any information about the incident, or who recognises the description of the suspect, to come forward.
“If you have dashcam, doorbell or private CCTV footage from the Cardross Road area around the time, please review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
Anyone with information is urged to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2754 of 2 March. Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
