Appeal for information following a fire in Wardrop Street, Paisley

Detectives in Paisley are appealing for information following a suspicious fire.

The fire happened within a cellar at the rear of properties in Wardrop Street around 3.30am on Monday, 31 March, 2025.

A property was evacuated as a precaution, but there are no reports of any injuries.

Detective Constable Ryan McGuire of CID said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of this morning to come forward.

“We are carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV in an effort to find out who was responsible.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0358 of 31 March, 2025.
