Appeal following wilful car fire in Johnstone

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful car fire in Johnstone.

The incident happened around 8.50pm on Thursday, 6 March on Linnet Avenue and saw a silver Toyota RAV4 set on fire.

The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Constable Jack McElwee said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist to contact us.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.”
