Appeal after car and mobile phone stolen in Alexandria
Officers are appealing for information after a car and mobile phone were stolen in Alexandria.
The incident occurred on Napierston Road between 6.30pm and 7pm on Sunday, 9 March, 2025.
The driver was travelling in a black Nissan Micra with the registration SK08 OWV, when he was approached by a male who got into the car and threatened him.
The male took the phone and made off in the vehicle which headed onto Northfield Road via Elmbank Drive.
The car was later returned to its owner.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible, who is described as a white male, aged between 15 and 17 years old, and around 5ft 6in tall.
He was wearing a black hat, a black jacket with green/grey colouring on the shoulders, black trousers and black trainers.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage which may have captured the vehicle.
Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “The victim was left uninjured but very shaken and upset following this incident.
“We are carrying out extensive enquiries and I’d like to appeal to anyone who saw the male and the car to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone in the area with dash-cam or private doorbell footage, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
