Appeal after youth seriously assaulted in Greenock town centre
Officers are appealing for information following an assault in Greenock town centre on Saturday, 29 March, 2025.
A 17-year-old male youth was seriously assaulted in the Westburn Street and Nicholson Street areas of the town between 8pm and 10.50pm. He presented for treatment for his injuries at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and was later discharged.
Police are now looking to speak to four male youths seen in the area at the time.
Detective Constable Ruth Elder said: “We are asking anyone who saw what happened or knows the group involved to get in touch.
"We are particularly keen to trace the group of youths seen at the time of the assault.
“If you were driving in the area at the time can you please check dash-cam footage to see if you have captured anything that would help with our investigation.”
