Pair arrested as enquiries remain ongoing into Jamaica Street disturbance
Two 30-year-old men have been arrested in connection with a disturbance in the Jamaica Street area of Glasgow, which took place around 3.30am on Wednesday, 8 January, 2025.
Officers attended the area and the road was closed for a number of hours to allow for an investigation to be carried out.
Enquiries remain ongoing to identify and trace two further men believed to be involved in the incident.
Sergeant David McIntosh said: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as officers carried out their work in the area.
“Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious on Jamaica Street in the early hours of this morning, or has any information on the incident, should call police on 101, quoting incident 0291 of 8 January. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
