Appeal for witnesses after two vehicle crash on A98
Officers are appealing for information following a two car crash on the A98 near Buckie on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Around 12.25pm reports were received of a head on collision involving an HGV and a red Nissan Micra.
Emergency services attended and the female 78-year-old driver of the Nissan was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with what are described as serious injuries.
The 58-year-old male HGV driver was uninjured and was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
The A98 was closed for around 12 hours to allow crash scene investigators to carry out enquiries and it re-opened at 12.20am on Wednesday, 15 January, 2025.
Sergeant Lesley Morrison said: "Our enquiries remain ongoing as we work to establish how this collision occurred. Anyone with information or dash cam footage should get in contact, no matter how insignificant it may seem."
