Appeal following wilful fire-raising, Fingal Street, Glasgow
Officers are appealing after a parked van was deliberately set on fire in the Fingal Street area of Glasgow.
The incident happened around 5.45am on Thursday, 2 January.
The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
Detective Constable Fraser McGill said: “This was a reckless act and, although no one was injured, nearby vehicles and properties could have been damaged too.
“We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch and for people to check private CCTV.
“Also, if you were driving in the area at the time please check dash-cams to see if you have captured something that could help with our investigation.
“Our enquiries so far suggest a white Skoda Octavia car was in the area at the time and we are eager to speak to the owner or anyone with knowledge of it.”
