Appeal following serious assault of teenager on Bedford Street, Glasgow
Officers are appealing for information after a 16-year-old male youth was seriously assaulted in Glasgow.
Around 7.40pm on Monday, 13 January, 2025, the 16-year-old was walking with his friends on Bedford Street when he was approached by two men with their faces covered and hit with a bottle over the head.
He attended at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and was later released.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for the help of the public.
Detective Constable Lauren Moffat said: “Our work is ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
“We know the area was busy with traffic and I would ask anyone who has dash-cam or private CCTV footage which could assist us to contact us.
“Incidents of this nature can understandably cause concern to the local community however we are following a number of lines of enquiry and there will continue to be additional patrols in the area to provide reassurance.”
