Appeal following high-value theft at Na Birlinn Cemetery, near Onich, Fort William
Police are appealing for information following a high-value theft at Na Birlinn Cemetery near Onich, Fort William.
The theft is believed to have happened between Friday, 13 December, 2024, and Thursday, 23 January, 2025. During this time, tools and work equipment worth approximately £2,500 were stolen from a digger parked within the cemetery grounds. LED lights were also removed from the digger, causing damage to the vehicle.
Constable Joan MacIver said: "Our enquiries into this theft are ongoing, and we urge anyone with information to contact us.
"If you noticed anything unusual in the area, including any suspicious vehicles, please let us know.
"We would also ask anyone who was driving in the area during this time to check any dashcam footage as it could provide valuable information."
