Officers are appealing for information following a crash Eaglesham on Thursday, 16 January, 2025.
Around 10am, police received a report of serious crash involving a blue Fiat 500, and a cyclist on Polnoon Street.
Emergency services responded and the 74-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The driver of the Fiat 500 was uninjured but has been left deeply upset at what has happened.
The road was closed to allow collision investigators to examine the road and conduct their inquiries.
Sergeant Chris McColm of Glasgow Road Policing said: “As our inquiries continue, I would appeal to anyone who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch.
"I would also ask people with any recorded footage to review it and pass it on to us to assess its relevance. Any small piece of information could help us confirm the full circumstances of what has happened.”
