Appeal after two men assaulted in Clydebank
Officers in Clydebank are appealing for information after two 21-year-old men were assaulted on the canal path near Whitecrook Street.
The incident happened between 11.10pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, 28 December, 2024.
A large group of youths, both male and female, had gathered in the area and the two men were assaulted during a disturbance.
Glass bottles were thrown at both, one was punched to the face, and one was punched and kicked to the face.
One received hospital treatment for injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are working to identify the youths involved in the incident.
Officers are gathering relevant CCTV footage and reviewing it for any additional information.
Detective Constable Georgia Callander said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have any information about this incident to get in touch. If anyone saw or noticed anything suspicious, or has any information on those involved, please do get in touch with us.
“In particular, anyone with video footage from around the area that may have captured images which could assist the investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference 3803 of 28 December. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
