Two people assaulted in Edinburgh

An investigation is under way after two people were seriously assaulted in Saughton Mains Street, Edinburgh. Police were initially called to the Stenhouse Drive area around 5.30pm on Thursday, 27 February, 2025 but enquiries have established the incident occurred in Saughton Mains Street. Officers believe those involved were known to one another.

The 38-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were taken to hospital. The man remains in hospital and the woman has been released. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
