Man arrested for attempted murder in Johnstone

A 45-year-old man arrested by officers investigating a serious assault in Johnstone has now been charged in connection with attempted murder. 

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 24 February, 2025.

Around 6.45pm, on Friday 21 February, 2025, police received a report a 42-year-old man had been injured in William Street, Johnstone. Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital.
