Man arrested following fatal crash in Hamilton

 

A 35-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into a fatal road crash on Sunday, 27 October, 2024.

The incident happened around 12.40am on Quarry Street, Hamilton. Emergency services attended and pedestrian James Craig, aged 70, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 35-year-old was arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0171 of Sunday, 27 October, 2024.
