Cannabis cultivation discovered in Hawick
Drugs with an estimated value of over £289,000 have been recovered at an address in the Scottish Borders.
Around 9.30am on Tuesday, 4 February, we received a report of a possible cannabis cultivation at a premises on North Bridge Street in Hawick.
Officers attended and an extensive cannabis cultivation was discovered inside.
Enquiries remain ongoing to trace those responsible.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Loughlin said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and the public has an important role to play in helping Police Scotland target those responsible for the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal substances.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone with any information to contact us.”
