Pair arrested after drugs worth £700,000 recovered in Kilmarnock
Detectives have seized cannabis worth an estimated £700,000 from a property in Kilmarnock.
Officers attended the property in the Glenfield Place area around 8.15am on Thursday, 17 April to execute a warrant and found a cultivation of 1100 plants within.
Two men, aged 29 and 33, have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
They are both expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 18 April, 2025.
Detective Sergeant John White said: “This represents a significant recovery and is a good example of our efforts to disrupt the drugs trade in our local communities.
“Seizures such as this show our commitment nationally to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
