Multi-agency response concludes following fire in Cumbernauld
A multi-agency response has concluded following a fire at a business premises on an industrial estate on Mid Road in Cumbernauld.
The incident was reported around 3pm on Tuesday, 1 April 2025 and emergency services attended.
Six men, aged between 20 and 66, were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-serious injuries.
Nearby business properties which had been evacuated have reopened and local residents are no longer being advised to keep windows and doors closed.
Extensive enquiries have been carried out to establish the cause of the fire, and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
