Appeal following serious crash on M74, South Lanarkshire
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious crash on the M74 between junctions 10 and 11, South Lanarkshire.
The incident happened around 5.20pm on Sunday, 6 April, 2025, and involved a red Peugeot 3008, a silver Volvo XC60 and a blue Peugeot 308.
Emergency services attended and the passenger of the Peugeot 308, a 51-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition is described as serious.
The driver, a 56-year-old man, was also taken to hospital and later discharged.
The drivers and passengers of the other vehicles involved in the collision were assessed by paramedics for minor injuries.
The road was closed to allow enquiries to be carried out and reopened around 3am on Monday, 7 April, 2025.
Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to the public for information.
“If you saw anything then please get in touch. We are also asking drivers to check dash-cam to see if there is something recorded that could help our investigation.”
