Appeal following serious crash in Motherwell
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on Hamilton Road at the junction with Nigel Street in Motherwell.
The incident happened around 5.05pm on Wednesday, 2 April, and involved a silver Volvo single deck bus and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow with serious injuries where his condition is described as critical.
No one else was injured.
The road was closed and re-opened around 8.30pm.
Sergeant Elaine Scott said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to the public for information.
“If you saw anything then please get in touch. We are also asking drivers to check dash-cam to see if there is something recorded that could help our investigation.”
