Two men charged after £379k worth of cannabis recovered in Coatbridge
Two men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation in Coatbridge.
On Friday, 30 August, 2024, officers executed a warrant at a premises in the Coltswood Road area.
Cannabis with an estimated value of more than £379,000 was discovered.
Two men, aged 33 and 18, were arrested and charged in connection. They appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, 2 September.
Inspector Gavin Tuohy said: “This is a substantial recovery and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and we will use all resources at our disposal to disrupt the cultivation and sale of illegal substances. Information provided by the public is vital in helping us continue to do this.”
