Road Crash – B9040 Hopeman to Lossiemouth, Moray
Officers at the Road Policing Unit in Elgin are continuing enquiries and appealing for witnesses following a road crash on the B9040 Hopeman to Lossiemouth road.
Around 1pm on Sunday, 1 September 2024 a silver Skoda Yeti car and a black Honda CBR 600F motorcycle were travelling eastbound on the B9040 when they were involved in a collision, approximately 100 metres east of the Covesea Greens Equestrian Centre.
The 60- year-old motor cyclist was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for his injuries. Medical staff describe his condition as life threatening. The 81 year old driver of the car and his two female passengers aged 75 and 46 years were not injured.
Sergeant Lesley Morrison at the Road Policing Unit in Elgin would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash. She would also like to speak to anyone who was travelling on this road around the time of the crash and may have captured it on their dashcams.
