Man pleads guilty to dangerous driving between Glenluce and Kirkcowan, Dumfries and Galloway
A man has pled guilty to dangerous driving after being caught driving at speeds of up to 127mph between Glenluce and Kirkcowan in Dumfries and Galloway.
Craig Campbell, 30, was stopped by officers on Saturday, 30 March, 2024, and charged with road traffic offences.
He was fined £1500 and disqualified from driving for 15 months when he appeared before Stranraer Sheriff Court on Monday, 9 September, 2024.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven from Road Policing said: “Motorists who drive at excessive speeds are not only putting their own safety at risk, but the safety of other road users too.
“Our officers are committed to educating motorists and deterring this type of reckless behaviour and we will proactively target drivers who are speeding on our roads.
