Man dies following road crash on the A8011, Cumbernauld
A man has died following a serious collision in Cumbernauld.
34-year-old Jonathan Bruce, from the local area, died in hospital on Sunday, 1 September, 2024 following the single vehicle crash on the A8011, Glasgow Road, which happened around 9.05pm on Saturday, 17 August.
Jonathan’s family have issued an image and the following statement:
“Jonny was a loving, caring husband, and a doting Dad to his three children. He was loved by so many and a great friend to everyone who knew him.
“We ask for privacy at what is a very difficult time for us as we try and come to terms with our loss.”
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers continue to appeal for information.
Road Policing Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our thoughts are with Jonathan’s family and friends at this difficult time and we’ll continue to keep them updated as our investigations progress.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far. Anyone who has information or dashcam footage of the area around the time, and hasn’t spoken to police yet, please get in touch.”
