Fatal road crash on Glenburn Road, East Kilbride

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in East Kilbride on Friday, 30 August, 2024.

Around 3.20pm, police were called to Glenburn Road at its junction with Glenburn Way, following a crash involving a green Kawasaki motorbike.

Emergency services attended and the rider, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around that time who may have dash-cam to please review their footage and contact us if it holds anything relevant.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2424 of 30 August.”
