Continued appeal following attempted armed robbery in Inverness
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information following an attempted armed robbery in Inverness.
Around 9pm on Friday, 13 September, 2024 a man approached a vehicle on Lochalsh Road and threatened the driver with what was believed to be a firearm.
The driver left the scene and there were no injuries.
Officers, including armed response, attended and a search of the area was carried out.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the man who was wearing a dark jacket and hat, and a grey coloured scarf covering his face.
Detective Constable Pamela Dugdale said: “I’d like to reassure the public that we continue to have extra patrols in the area for reassurance and we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public.
“I ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to come forward. I also ask anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV of the area at the time to please get in touch.
“If you have any information at all, please contact us.”
