Appeal for information after a fire on King Street, Peterhead
Detectives are appealing for information after a fire on King Street, Peterhead on Tuesday, 17 September, 2024.
Around 4.20am, we were called to the block of flats. A number of properties were evacuated and the fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
Detective Constable Grant James said: “The fire is being treated as wilful and we are appealing to anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us.
“If you were in the area of King Street between 3.50am and 4.20am on Tuesday morning and witnessed anything suspicious, please contact us. We would also ask anyone with dash-cam or personal footage to get in touch if it contains anything relevant.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting incident number 0434 of 17 September. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
