Appeal following collision involving boy and car in Paisley
Enquiries are ongoing following a collision involving a boy and a car in Paisley.
Around 3.15pm on Tuesday, 3 September, 2024, a young boy on a bike crossing King Street was involved in a collision with a white Berlingo van, causing him to fall to the ground. The boy was in the company of a young female but she was not involved in the incident.
The occupants of the van got out to check on the boy and then drove off.
The boy attended at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
The matter was not reported to police until Wednesday, 4 September, 2024 and officers have been conducting enquiries.
From enquiries carried out so far, the occupants of the car were male and were wearing purple tops. Officers believe there were several members of the public who witnessed the incident and are appealing for them to get in touch.
Constable Renee Aitken said: “We need to ascertain exactly what has happened and I am appealing to anyone who was in the King Street area at the time of the incident to contact us. Your information could be vital in helping us establish the full circumstances, so please do get in touch.”
