Appeal following car fire in Airdrie
Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a wilful vehicle fire in Airdrie.
The incident happened around 9.10pm on Wednesday, 11 September, when a black Porsche Cayenne was deliberately set on fire on Broomfield Street, near the junction with South Biggar Road.
No one was injured and the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Detective Constable David Williamson of Coatbridge CID, said: “We are fortunate that no one was hurt in this reckless act, but the damaged caused to the vehicle is significant.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are urging anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV from the surrounding area that could assist with our enquiries."
