£150,000 worth of cannabis seized in Stranraer
Drugs worth around £150,000 have been recovered following a vehicle search at Loch Ryan Port in Cairnryan.
Officers searched the vehicle around 10.30pm on Sunday, 22 September, 2024, and recovered around 15kg of cannabis.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 September, 2024.
Detective Inspector Gary Ferguson said: “Those who attempt to introduce drugs into our communities for personal gain should be in no doubt that we will use every possible resource to disrupt this activity.
“This seizure reinforces our ongoing commitment to the Serious and Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
