Serious road crash – Main Street, Golspie

We are appealing for information following a serious road crash in Golspie on Friday, 11 October, 2024.

Around 8.50pm, police were called to the crash on Main Street which involved a Hyundai I20 and a 62-year-old female pedestrian.

Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where she remains for treatment. Medical staff describe her condition as serious.

The road was re-opened around 2.30am.

Sergeant Chris Donaldson, Road Policing North, is appealing for witnesses, he said:

"A number of people came to the woman’s aid following the crash and have been spoken to by officers.

“However, we are still keen to hear from anyone, who has not already come forward but who may have information that may assist our enquiry, to contact us.”
