Ronald Davidson sentenced for sexual offences

A 54-year-old male has been sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual offences. He has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register.

On Friday, 11 October, 2024 at Edinburgh High Court, Ronald Davidson was sentenced for sexually abusing two children. The crimes occurred in the Fife area between 1984 - 1993.

Davidson had previously been found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday, 13 September, 2024.

Detective Inspector Calum Lawrie, of Fife’s Public Protection Unit, said: “Davidson will now be held accountable for his despicable behaviour. I commend the strength of the victims for coming forward and I hope today’s sentencing provides them with some sense of closure.”
