Re-appeal following fatal crash on A77 near Monkton
Road Policing officers are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal crash on the A77 near Monkton.
The incident happened around 2.25pm on Thursday, 3 October, 2024, approximately half a mile south of the Dutch House Roundabout, Monkton, and involved two vehicles, a silver Mercedes A200 and a red Renault Captur.
Emergency services attended, and the driver and passenger of the Renault Captur, a 82-year-old man and a 84-year-old woman respectively, were taken to hospital.
The man died in hospital on Sunday, 6 October, 2024. The woman died in hospital on Tuesday, 15 October, 2024.
Sergeant Martin Cunningham of Irvine Road Policing said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the two people who died at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch if you can assist.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation then please contact us."
