A further update has been shared with colleagues on the position of pay awards.
The latest update on pay awards was shared with colleagues today, Tuesday 29 October 2024.
It makes them aware of the exchanges between the staff side and the official side of the Police Negotiating Board for Scotland, and the failure to agree which the staff side will now register. This means the next steps in the process are conciliation and arbitration.
Deputy Chief Constable Alan Speirs said: “In line with normal practice, the pay claim for police officers is being progressed through the Police Negotiating Board for Scotland (PNBS).
“We note the position of the staff side of the PNBS to progress to conciliation and arbitration and are committed to co-operating with that process."
The trade union ballot for staff negotiations closes on Friday 1 November 2024.
