Man named following fatal Paisley collision
A pedestrian who died following a serious crash in Paisley has been named.
The crash happened around 8.10am on Wednesday, 18 September, 2024, where two men were struck by a car on Hawkhead Road.
Emergency services attended and the two men, aged 50 and 40, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Stephen Craig, 50, from Coatbridge, died in hospital on Sunday, 22 September, 2024.
His family have released the following tribute: “Stephen was a devoted husband and father. His loss has been devastating for all who knew him.”
The road was closed for around eight hours for enquiries to be carried out.
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Our thoughts remain with Stephen’s family at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances of the crash and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, and has yet to speak to officers, to please get in touch.”
