Man arrested and charged following recovery of drugs valued at £13,000 in Edinburgh
Following on from information provided by members of the public, officers from Howdenhall arrested and charged a 23-year-old man for being concerned in the supply of drugs in the Merchiston area.
The arrest took place on Merchiston Avenue on Friday, 4 October, 2024.
Over £13,000 in drugs along with a four figure sum of cash were seized as a result of this proactive work.
The man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 7 October, 2024.
Community Sergeant Jen Macgregor, from Howdenhall Police Station, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. This is great example of proactive police work supported by members of our communities who do not tolerate the illegal sale of drugs on our streets and nor do we.”
