Cocaine recovered after a vehicle was stopped in Lanark

Around 6pm on Monday, 14 October, 2024 officers stopped a Ford Transit on Mousemill Road, where cocaine worth around £185,000 was recovered.

A 54-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot said: “We will continue target those individuals and groups who seek to bring drugs into our communities.

“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy and we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer.
