Appeal for information following robbery at a store on High Street, Renfrew
Officers are appealing for information following a robbery at a premises on High Street, Renfrew.
The incident happened around 4.30pm on Sunday, 27 October, when two people entered a store.
One of them, a man, claimed to be in possession of a firearm and demanded money but no weapon was seen. No money was handed over.
The other person, a woman, stole an item. Both then left in the direction of the town centre.
No one was injured.
The man is described as white, aged 40 to 50-years-old, of slim build and short stature with receding, grey hair. He was wearing a black top and jeans.
The woman is described as white, around 35 to 45-years-old, of slim build with long black hair. She was wearing a dark-coloured jacket and light-coloured jeans and carrying a red shopping bag.
Detective Constable James Campbell said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the staff member was left shaken and upset by what happened.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and we are asking anyone who recognises the suspects or has information about them to get in touch.
“We are also asking anyone driving in the general area at the time to check their dash-cam to see if they have captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
