Appeal following fatal crash on A7 near Boleside
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A7 near Boleside.
The incident happened around 9.40am on Monday, 23 September, 2024, and involved a white Range Rover Evoque, a silver Vauxhall Insignia and a yellow Iveco Daily van.
Emergency services attended, and the driver and passenger of the Vauxhall Insignia, a 74-year-old man and 72-year-old woman, and the driver of the Range Rover, a 41-year-old woman, were taken to hospital for treatment.
The man died in hospital on Monday, 7 October, 2024. The two women have been released from hospital.
The road was closed while enquiries were carried out and reopened around 12.50pm.
Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch if you think you can help.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.”
