Appeal following serious crash with pedestrian in Cowdenbeath
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious road crash involving a pedestrian dog walker, which took place on Leuchatsbeath Drive, Cowdenbeath, around 6.35pm on Thursday, 14 November, 2024.
The incident involved a white Mercedes A200 car and the 64-year-old male pedestrian.
The man was conveyed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries, where he remains, whilst his dog sustained minor injuries.
The road remained closed for investigation until around 1am on Friday, 15 November, 2024.
Sergeant Tom Aitken, from the Glenrothes Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we’d like to thank those in the local community who have spoken with officers so far.
“We continue to appeal for anyone with information, or who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, to please come forward.
