Appeal following serious crash on the B7080, Irvine
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the B7080, Irvine.
The incident, involving a cyclist and a HGV, happened on the B7080, Long Drive, near to the Oldhall roundabout around 3.30pm on Thursday, 14 November, 2024.
Emergency services attended and 61-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to what were described as serious injuries.
There were no other reports of any injuries.
The road was closed for around eight hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
