Appeal following serious crash in Rutherglen
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Rutherglen.
Around 8pm on Saturday, 2 November, 2024, officers were called to a report of a crash involving an orange Mitsubishi L200 pick up and a female pedestrian on Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen.
Emergency services attended and the 40-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
The 33-year-old male driver of the pick up was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 4 November, 2024
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
