Appeal following car fire on John Street, Dunoon

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful car fire in Dunoon.

The incident happened between 11.30pm and 11.55pm on Monday, 11 November, 2024 on John Street.

The fires were extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There were no reported injuries.

Detective Constable Ross Hardie said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the fire to contact us.

"This fire is being treated as deliberate. We are particularly keen to trace the driver of a small, light-coloured car which was seen travelling on Victoria Road, towards Hamilton Street.

"We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 4372 of 11 November, 2024. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
